How does voice biometric work?
During enrollment, the user will be asked to repeat a short pass-phrase of a sequence of numbers. Each person has unique vocal track, to prevent the risk of unauthorized access via tape recording, the user is asked to repeat random phrases. The voice recorded will be compared with the stored database.
How is this technology being used?
Telephony-based applications:
- used for government, healthcare, call centers, electronic commerce, financial services, customer authentication for service calls, and for house arrest and probation-related authentication
